Good evening Susan,

Another great evening. I never tire of saying that.

We had 18 in attendance tonight.

Announcements:

9/24 – Snugfest jamalong.  Susan will be providing the time that we should be available to perform very shortly.  Snugfest begins at 11:00 a.m. Kim and Peggy will be selling raffle tickets. $1 each, 6 for $5, if you spend $10 you also get a $5 certificate for the Beach Plum. The $5 certificates are available for the first 160 people that spend $10. I believe that is what Peggy said. Please correct me if I’m wrong. There are many great prizes and the money goes to a great cause.

10/5 – Salisbury Assisted Living Center

10/13 – Connect 55+ Concord

10/21 – Atria Newburyport SNHUG event

11/4 – Concord Senior Center

11/5 – Playshop at the Kingston Rec

For more information on all these events please check Meetup.  We definitely need more participants especially at the Concord venues.

A couple things that were not announced:

Susan has canceled the November 2nd Meet up.

T-shirts are still available and can be ordered at any time. Payment will be requested at the time of the order. If you have not paid for the t-shirt that you have already ordered please see me.

When you have a chance please check out our website: seacoastukuleleplayers.com

This is still a work in progress. If you should have trouble finding something or have a comment please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. Maria, Susan and I have spent a lot of time getting this to where it is right now and a lot more work needs to be done.

I feel I need to apologize for tending to focus my announcements and comments towards the right side of the room. Let’s just say the people on the left side of the room are active listeners.

Songs:

Tin Pan Alley Medley – remove the C7 at the end of the song and replace with G7 and C

Feeling Groovy – repeat last set of chords twice

I Can See Clearly Now – slow down at dark clouds. Susan said that she would know what that meant. That is if she reads this. Just seeing if you’re paying attention Susan.

Bus Stop – This is the third time this has been posted. The intro is two beats per cord and not the four beats as listed and it should be played twice. A new addition this evening is to place in Am chord at the end of the 1st, 3rd and 5th verse.

Everyday – needs work especially on the  “A hey heys”. Bev suggested to Susan that we should try it in the key of G

The remainder of the evening was spent practicing for the snugfest jamalong.

End of the Line – This is another repeat from last week. We end with C G7 C.  Please pencil in that change before Saturday’s performance.

Wellerman – Maria decided that Jack should play the drum during this song. Thank you  Maria for adding yet another task for Tonto to handle.  Remember Tonto means, faithful,  loyal, dependable sidekick.  He always does what is asked of him.

All kidding aside folks, it was a great night. Lots of fun as always. We have a great group of people and I am very proud to play my role.

Susan please add anything I missed and edit as needed.

Good night,

Rodney Dangerfield
