Here is the recap you have all been waiting for! Thank you, Tonto!
One PS: the percussion added to “Evil Ways” was AWESOME!
Reminder for anyone interested in the workshops: The current info I have is that we should make the checks out to Amy Conley, and we can bring them to the Rec that day.
See you next week…. I think we will work mainly on Halloween songs, but I do try to go back to revisit a few songs each week that we don’t want to forget. If we are not getting to your favorites, speak up!
Susan

Hi Susan,

Maria brought several “Halloween” songs
The Ghost of Poor John/Tom
Senor Don Gato
People are Strange, the severely abridged version
These were all well received. Thank you Maria.
Susan brought up a few songs that we tried out on Saturday. Plus at least one that had never been tried.
Chocolate Jesus – fill in your comment here….
I personally like the song. We need to find the right venue to perform it.
Evil Ways – Needs practice.
I Wish I Knew You – We all need to listen to this song. It does have potential from what I was hearing.
You’ve Got to Hide You’re Love Away – Lyrics need to be added to the outro
Come Dancing – Bombed despite most people seeming to like this song. This will take a lot of work.
Sea Cruise – Marilyn suggested a change to this longtime favorite. She thinks we should change the way we play ” won’t you let me take you on a sea cruise”. We would do one strum on “won’t” and one strum just before “sea cruise”. Susan assured us that she would make that change. If needed, we can pencil it in for the Concord gig.
Monster Mash – compliments were received from one of the patrons as well as the librarians.
The updated version of Breezy Afternoon was performed. Patty and I thank you for the positive response.
I heard that Maria suggested that someone write a parody of Walking after Midnight for Halloween. If anyone is up to that challenge please bring the song with you next Wednesday. If it’s ready in time email it to Susan. It could be fun to have several different versions. Please don’t be shy. As I was told last Saturday this is a non-judgment zone.
One of the website administrators has been feeling vibes from Susan concerning the title of the page for songs that are being considered or being worked on. Shockingly, the page title was changed from Tentative songs to Songs in Process. Until the administrator has time to correct the menu, pressing the Tentative Songs button will take you to Songs in Process.
I hope I covered everything. Once again thank you all for your enthusiasm and support for this great group. Susan has a great vision for us. I am proud to be her Tonto.
Susan, edit as needed but please do not remove any comments referencing you.
Jack/Boris
