Hi, Everybody!
Jack, we missed you when you had to leave! But we soldiered on. Thank you for your recap, as always. I was supposed to pick up where you left off… Unfortunately I do not have your powers of recall!I can say we went through more of the harmonica songs. Spider will be playing background on a few additional songs – in most cases, it won’t affect how we are playing them, it will just add a great new dimension of sound! Thank you Spider, for lending us your talents! We decided to say Good Riddance for now, to Good Riddance and I Got You Babe. Others have fallen by the wayside, and I continue to clip here and there- not giving up on the songs, but in the interest of having a strong setlist we are comfortable with. Driving to Lowell is bad enough; we don’t need stressful songs!I made a few minor adjustments to FIsher Hornpipe, Love Me Do, Dixie Chicken and I Should have Known Better. I have spent time this afternoon making sure my computer files match the website!Once Jack has time to review them (I really will wait for that), I will be posting the setlists in order of play. There will be three separate 15 song sets. These will be posted by Monday at the very latest, and I will print packets for Wednesday for those who do not have their own. The Groundhog parodies will be added to the website asap. Please, everyone join in the next few practices even if you can’t make Lowell. The songs are great fun and we will be playing them again! For those attending Lowell, watch the meetup page for additional information about parking and timing. Lastly, thank you for always reflecting that we are a group of amateurs, and beginners are always welcome to join in. Our goal is that everyone has a good time no matter their skill level, so I appreciate how helpful you all are when we have new players, and your friendliness in general. I am a space cadet and can barely lead the songs, or remember names! So thank you! See you all soon. Wednesday we will be in the children’s area of the library, with paper and stands. It will be interesting!
Happy MLK weekend, all. Susan

Good afternoon Susan,
At the risk of repeating myself it was another great practice.
We had 16 people in attendance which dropped the 15 when Tonto left early. Up until that point there were no outbursts from Don or anyone else. Not sure about after.
This coming Wednesday we will be working from paper for our meetup.
Once again, this practice was focused on our upcoming performance in Lowell. Please remember that everyone is welcome at these practices. Even if you’re not going to Lowell the songs of fun to play.
I have a couple of notes about songs:
Let’s Talk Dirty in Hawaiian – somehow the wrong version was in the PDF that Susan supplied and the version on our website is also incorrect. I believe Susan has already corrected the website.
Folsom Prison Blues/Pinball Wizard – an abridged version is posted on the website and will be used for the event. It is in the key of C
The Letter – Susan will look into the beginning.
Susan has a final list of songs for Lowell. She’ll be sending that out to everyone and it’ll be posted on the website. She’s also working on a PDF for the event which we will have before Wednesday’s practice. She claims that it will be sent to Jack for review before it’s released. No promises. Just sayin’.
We may have too many songs for the time allotted at Lowell. Susan will select a number of them which we can drop during the performance if needed.
At this point Jack had to leave. Susan will take over the recap from here. Rumor has it there was a pretty good celebration after 11:15.
Thanks everybody,
Jack
