Sup Recap 4/26/2023

Hello, Everyone,

Here I am once more, trying to do a Tonto recap…..

It was great to see you last night, Jack! But next time, stick around longer. We miss the voodoo that you do so well. Plus scrolling, but Maria did a fantastic job!

We had lots of singers, and the special treat of having both Spider on the harmonica and Tom on the bass. So fun. Welcome to new players and some familiar faces that are returning… We will be getting more of the snowbirds back soon!

We went through some songs that have been slightly adjusted for harmonica solos (Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, Crazy Little Thing, Paper Moon), did more practice on “I’ll See you In My Dreams”, tried out one new song (“Lovin’ Life” by Jive Aces, attached), and then reviewed a bunch of our harmonica-accompanied favorites. All of these will be appearing at our Lowell Mill 5 performance on June 11. Anyone that wants to come to that, be aware we will be outside, and in a small area, so depending on how many sign up, we may be taking turns in smaller groups. It’s a 3-hour gig, so that’s not a bad idea anyway!  Solos and duos are encouraged, too, so if you have ideas, this is a great opportunity. A few of us are going to take a look at the outdoor market area on Sunday, and will report back.

Our next  performance is for the Brentwood Seniors on May 24, during their lunch at the Brentwood Rec. The setlist for that is in process – thank you, Lauren. The more the merrier— please sign up if you are available!

We will be updating the website songs where any changes have been made, but they may not all be done yet. Anyone that has not gone on the website, it is:

I’m sure there is more I should say, but I am no Tonto. Keep healing up, Jack!
