Good stormy evening Susan,

We had 20 enthusiastic players this evening.

NOTICE: Eight of us will be performing in Concord next . The library is  available to anyone who wants to circle up or just hang out.  Is not too late to sign up for Concord if you would like to join us

Reminder: June 28 will be the Beatles night.  Post your suggestions on Meetup or send Susan an email.

Please check out Meetup for all the upcoming events. Remember everyone is welcome regardless of skill level.

We tried a lot of different songs this week. Some old ones we haven’t tried in a long time and a couple of new ones. The following need some type of work:

End of the Line – Susan needs to fix her version. We we repeat the last line.

I’m Gonna Be (500Miles) – key change please

Little Deuce Coupe – add parts

That’s Amore – Tom Savagio did a nice job. We need more practice.

Ring of Fire – need to add kazoos to intro and throughout the song. Please listen to the song when you have a chance. https://youtu.be/1WaV2x8GXj0

Peaceful Easy Feeling – needs practice.  Susan will review the cord placement in and around the “whispering” line

Mr Sandman – verify version and lyrics

Dancing In the Moonlight – Susan to correct as needed

Each week more and more players are stepping up with song suggestions and corrections. Some are showing the correct way to play the song as well as sing it.  This is greatly appreciated. Susan has a lot on her plate and as you probably know she cannot possibly lead every song.  Although she does a great job, she will take any help she can get. The proof is in the fact that she lets me lead a few songs.  Scary stuff.

I want to thank you all for making these weekly meetups so enjoyable. It’s fun to be able to make music and laugh with friends.

Have a great evening I hope some of you will take advantage of the library next week.  We’ll be back on Wednesday the 28th for the Beatles night. Fun fact: growing up Susan was Ringo whenever her family decided to pretend to be the Beatles.

Susan, please edit as needed and add anything I may have missed.

Take care,

Jack (Susan’s indentured servant)
