Hi, SUP!
Jack has said it all as usual… I will just add that the songs that were challenging tonight are worth working on! Please listen to them and help us out with timing, parts, and harmonies.
Thanks to Tom for requesting songs. I am happy to try anything, and I thought tonight’s additions went quite well. And yes, if you suggest a song we (royal we) do appreciate help in leading, but with a bit of a heads-up, “we” are happy to give anything a try!
I hope to see some of you on Saturday. It will be a great opportunity to run through some songs in a nice outdoor setting. I will bring extra set copies of what we are practicing for the Plains concert (or print it yourself – list and pdf are on our website and on Meetup).
Susan

Hi Susan,
19 participants this evening.
Some of us will be playing at Riverwoods in Manchester this Friday afternoon. There is still time to sign up.
There will be a meetup this Saturday morning 10:00 to 12:00 at the recreation center in Kingston. This is open to anyone. We will not have a projector so you need to bring paper copies. Or your SUP book, if you have one. Weather permitting, we’ll be outside. Otherwise, you guessed it, inside. They’ll be two more, August 19th and September 2nd.
We will be playing on the Plains in Kingston July 23rd from 4 to 5:30.
Please check Meetup for more information on all of the above plus more events coming up.
Susan put together quite a varied group of songs for this evening. Below is a brief rundown on some of them:
On Moonlight Bay – repeat the last line at the very end of the song.
On the Road Again – We need to work on the timing but it’s a good song. For those who were not with us during covid, check out the parody page for a song titled Out of the House Again.
Sundown – This one went very well considering it was that first time trying it
Drive My Car – This needs work. It was recommended that we all listen to it before we come back next week.
Fun Fun Fun – same as above please listen to it before next week.
Baby Driver – same
Crazy Love – I’m not sure where this song stands.
Devil in Her Heart – Susan would like us to work on singing this as two parts. And suddenly she wants Jack to sing louder.
Cats in the Cradle – We did surprisingly well considering we have never tried this song. We should try the song Taxi next time. Susan and I know all the words.
Once again we had people step up and help out. I know Susan greatly appreciates that. She knows pretty much everything but every once in a while she needs a little help.
If I have left anything out please let me know. Susan please edit as needed.
Have a great evening I know I will see some of you Friday. I hope to see more of you Saturday and again next Wednesday.
Have a great weekend,
Jack AKA Tonto
