Sup Recap 9/13/2023

Sorry for the delay, Jack!

But this gives me the opportunity for a couple of announcements:

The October 15 (really 14th) performance in Kingston for the October museum event has been cancelled. They did not have a good place for us to play due to adding a car show and I did not want to put us in an uncomfortable situation. Keep those Halloween songs buffed up, we will use them someplace.

On a brighter note: Hurricane Lee will be going through tomorrow, but it looks like early afternoon in Kingston will be dry, if a touch windy. So…. we are on for entertaining the runners near the corner of Wadleigh Point Road, so come on down! Bring your clothespins for the music. If it is too windy, we will adjourn to the bar sooner.

Remember we will NOT be in the library next week, instead will be at Lauren’s house!

Thank you all for being awesome….

Susan

Hi Susan,

Next week we will be meeting at Lauren’s house in Brentwood. It was canceled this week due to the weather. We will be back at the Seabrook Library Wednesday 9/27.

We had 10 intrepid souls in an attendance tonight.

We practiced a few songs for the reach the beach event this Saturday:

At the Hop, Up Above My Head, Runaway and Do You Wanna Dance.  They all went well

We spent the rest of the evening going over Halloween songs that we recently posted under the Halloween tab on the website.

They all need practice.  Some were great and some were horrible.

People are Strange needs work.  There should be an instrumental in the song.

Remember, this Saturday 1 to 3 PM, weather permitting, we’ll be playing for the Reach the Beach Road race.  Fingers crossed that Hurricane Lee goes way out to sea.

October 8th, will be playing at the Nottingham Community Church Halloween Party.

Please see Meetup for more info.

That’s it for now. Susan please add whatever you feel I missed.

Stay dry,

Jack
