SUP Recap 11/11/2023

Hello, Everyone,

Sorry for the delay – here is Jack’s recap of Saturday’s meetup. It was a fun morning! I am grateful to Jack for his patience and repair work on the music pdf, the website, and in general. I do try, but haste makes waste, as they say. I am pretty sure everything is correct for Friday, but I do have some spare copies of the songs we corrected just in case anyone was not following along while we made the sausage.

I am so sorry to miss another Wednesday but I know Jack will handle it once again – please lend him a hand!

Friday will be a good time, so come if you can. After that we won’t meet until after Thanksgiving, so best wishes to all for an enjoyable holiday.

Christmas and winter songs are next! Check out the website where there is a separate page for these songs – we will dive in on the 29th.

Susan

Good afternoon Susan,

Today 13 of us met in Children’s Room.

We practiced the set for Riverwoods. There were a few bugs with the PDF. I believe they have all been corrected.  The setlist PDF 9n Meetup and the website should be correct. If anyone finds anything wrong please let Susan or me no as soon as possible.

Night They Drove Old Dixie Down – the final Am in the chorus has been changed to an F

What a Wonderful World – stop strumming on the final G7  then go into the CFC.

Jennifer Juniper – Susan will check on the chords between the first and second verse.

Back Home Again – practice the bridge.

Riverwoods Manchester – this coming Friday November 17th 2 PM.  Please arrive at 1:30. We are still looking for additional voices.

Library Christmas Open House – Wednesday December 13th. This will be held on the main floor and the library during our regular Wednesday time 5:00 to 7:00. This was great last year I’m sure it’ll be even better this year

Today was a little hectic but it was still fun. As you can see Susan has a lot on her plate.  She does a tremendous amount of work on the music while holding down a full-time job. Kudos to you Susan. Thank you for your hard work.

Reminder: Susan will not be there this coming Wednesday the 15th. That said, do not be afraid to attend we will still have fun.

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend,

Jack
