Thank you, Jack!
It was a fun evening, and we did have a terrific time at Riverwoods. Thank you all for attending and being awesome as always!
Just a few notes about Hogapalooza:
Tom and Bill and Jack will be starting at 9 am to set up the sound system, and I will be there to set up the food and raffle tables, put up banners and put out chairs, etc. Come early if you would like to help!
From 10-10:30 I plan to leave time for meeting and greeting, and giving people time to arrive and sign up for performance times.
SUP will play a 15 minute set of music to start off, at 10:30. I have a tentative plan for songs to play, and will share in the next week or so, but rest assured they are all familiar and well practiced.I will supply extra music (remember this part is all on paper).
From 10:45 to 1:00, the stage will be open for all to sign up for 15-minute time slots. I am aware of at least three other groups who plan to come and play (plus an in-house splinter group that I keep hearing about) and we will go back up as time allows to do a few more songs, duets or solos. We will insert a few groundhog songs where we can!
At around 1 pm we will draw the winning raffle ticket and move on to a jam-along using the projector. Again, I am going to choose a list of songs that should be familiar to all in attendance, so no worries about practicing ahead of time, but I will share the list when I have it ready.
For anyone who is unaware: The baritone was given to the group with the hope we could use it for teaching; we will be giving the raffle proceeds to the library for children’s programs.
We need to be out of the library by 2 pm – the library director and one librarian are staying an extra hour for us, and we don’t want to wear out our welcome! So during the jam we will also be putting away sound equipment and starting to clean up.
A few of us are taking care of supplying the food and drinks, but we will be happy for some help with setting up and cleaning up, and assisting with the raffle tickets and money.
The response to this party has been really good, so if we get snowed out we will definitely reschedule, most likely to a date in March. Fingers crossed that doesn’t happen!
See you Wednesday –
Susan

Dear Susan,
We had 14 diehards in attendance this extremely cold evening.
I don’t remember if I mentioned it last week but we are no longer allowed to use the emergency exit from the large meeting room. Please enter and exit through the main doors.
It was very random evening playing requests and songs for the librarians.
When we were at Riverwoods on Monday one of the residents asked us if we knew the song MTA. Some people know it as Charlie on the MTA. We practiced that so when we go back, we’ll have it ready.
Better Things – Susan is contemplating a key change.
Let Your Love Flow – repeat last verse
