SUP Recap 2/14/2024

Thank you, Jack!

It was fun… some songs are definitely not ready for prime time, but prime time is overrated. Any and all feedback on songs you would like to revisit or introduce is ALWAYS welcome. If I have them ahead of time I will check for the best key and try to be prepared to help lead it.

Please DO consider joining us in Brentwood at the end of the month, and/or to play for the senior group at the library on March 6! Both are daytime on Wednesdays, and on both of those days we will still meet in the evening as usual. You can choose your best time frame or do an afternoon of ukulele immersion.

See you all soon!

Have a great week –

Susan

Good evening Susan,

We had 14 and attendance this windy  chilly evening. It was a fun filled evening.

I hope everyone had a good Valentine’s Day.

We spent a good portion of the evening on Susan’s love gone bad and some love gone good songs. Considering we had never played most of them, we did pretty well. If you’d like to see the songs, look under the Meetup Practice Songs tab on the website.  Click on February 14, 2024.

The balance of the evening was spent picking songs at random plus playing other  new songs submitted by various members. You know who you are.

The following songs need key changes:

Strong Enough

Fast Car

Sweet Dreams

Aquarius / Sunshine – needs lots of practice

World Without Love – the G chord on the last line of the chorus needs to be moved back before the word “then”

Psycho Killer – needs minor adjustments. Susan knows what to do.

Events:

Brentwood Senior Luncheon 2/28

Happy Seniors at the Library 3/6

Riverwoods Manchester 4/12

Picnic and Play at Peggy’s House 7/17

For more information on these events please check Meetup.

Don’t forget that we get a free lunch at Brentwood. Last year’s lunch was fantastic.

Have a great evening, try to stay warm.

See you next week,

Jack
