Good evening, Our Dearest Jack,
Thank you for another excellent update!
It was a fun night, some hits and some misses, but always fun!
I will be finishing up the Brentwood list and posting it by tomorrow night if not sooner. I also need to post the Happy Seniors performance – that will be a Wednesday afternoon, but we will still hold our usual Wednesday night practice.
As for Feb. 14, yes, that is a list from the archives, and I will probably pull out a few of the songs to make some updates. But everyone should feel free to add to the fun with whatever bad love songs you wish to attempt!
I had a conversation with Laura this evening and the library is giving us our second leaf on their “Giving Tree”! They love us and are planning on another big Hogapalooza next year. Once again, thanks to all of you who made it such a success that felt like no work at all. To me, anyway!
In the meantime, I will be adding to our spring and summer calendar – looking forward to being outside again!
Susan

Our Dearest Susan,
We had 18 in attendance this first post Hogapalooza Meetup.
Speaking of Hogapalooza, it was a huge success. All involved had a great time. We estimated the attendance between 85 and 90 people. The raffle took in over $700, all of which is being donated to the children’s program at the library.
Tonight we tried out songs from a list that Susan is putting together for the Brentwood performance plus a few that members requested.
The following songs need practice:
I Want to Hold Your Hand
Let Your Love Grow
All Shook Up
Don’t Be Cruel
Spanish Eyes
Long Black Veil
El Paso
Hazy Shade of Winter
World Without Love
I Hear You Knocking
If I missed something please let me know.
Events:
Brentwood Senior Luncheon 2/28
Happy Seniors at the Library 3/6
Riverwoods Manchester 4/12
Picnic and Play at Peggy’s House 7/17
For more information on these events please check Meetup.
Don’t forget we have a Meetup this Saturday, for all those would like to attend, from 10 to 12:00 at the library.
Susan has decided that the theme for the next Wednesday, Valentine’s Day, will be Love Gone Bad songs. She has resurrected a song list from 5 or 6 years ago. It’s available on Meetup. If you have suggestions for songs please let me or Susan know. I’m not sure if she will allow a love gone right song but don’t be afraid to submit one.
I feel like I forgot something major here. I’ll leave that up to Susan to fill in if I did.
Enjoy the rest of your week as the temperatures begin to rise for a brief respite from winter.
Take care,
Jack AKA Rodney Dangerfield
