Dear Susan,
It was a very enjoyable evening with 17 in attendance. We honed our skills on many different songs improving all the time.
A big round of applause to Lauren for toughing it out in her bear suit this evening. She also has a pic-a-nic basket of teddy bears in her car for Saturday. If you happen to see Lauren on Saturday wish her a Happy Anniversary.
We went through a lot of the songs for the Ukuleles and Bears event this Saturday.
There’s still time to sign up. Just to clarify, the bear presentation will be indoors. We will be playing outdoors at the conclusion of the presentation. There’s a nice playground where we will set up. We estimate that we will start between 2:15 and 2:30.
If you’re planning to watch the presentation please arrive about 12:30 to set up for the performance.
They will probably be some last minute pen and ink changes to some of the bear songs to make sure that we’re all singing or shouting out the same things.

Songs to work on:
Across the Universe – Susan introduced the Austin Ukulele Society’s version of the song.
The song itself is fairly easy. There are many layers that can be added. The group seemed to be open to getting deeper into this song. If you have time, check it out. The Austin group is a great resource.
Good Day Sunshine – Susan to work on this. She told me to notate “no pause” and that the song should end on [F]
