Good evening, Jack,
It was a splendid sunset and a splendid moon rise!
Thank you as always for capturing the highlights of our evening. Thank you also for using “egregious”, extra points for that!
Welcome to all new players – please do let us know how we can make this a better group, or if you want to do a certain song. We strive to be fun and welcoming, and we really do love each other most of the time.
Summer is a busy time and I appreciate all of you that find the time to join in with our performances. Friday at Riverwoods will be fun– they were a great audience last time, and Max the ukulele hero will be there for a return engagement. We will throw in Jambalaya toward the beginning for him to play along with. We will miss Tom’s excellent bass work, but we are going to be fine! The more ukuleles and voices the better. I love That’s Amore….I think we can pull it off, but if we are not feeling it, we can skip it. Our goal is to be an enjoyable hour of entertainment for the lovely folks at Riverwoods. Please be there at 3:00 to set up. Allow a little time to find the right place if you have not been there. It’s a little confusing, but we are on the Ridge Campus, at 10 White Oak Drive. Rely on the help of the staff, they will help you! The setlist is on Meetup and also on the website under Events.
Beyond that, let’s just continue to enjoy our shared love of music! I get a boost every Wednesday, thank you all. Even the banjo players.
Susan

Good beautiful evening Susan,
I hope everyone got a look at that beautiful sunset this evening.
We had 23 enthusiastic players. That is enthusiastic until we got to Low Rider. We won’t talk about that.
It was nice to see some new members today
Tonight we playrd some random songs that we haven’t done in a while. Susan has a PDF on the website under Meetup songs.
We also went through part of the list for Friday’s performance at Riverwoods in Exeter.
We tried a new version of Take It Easy. The consensus was that we will go with the new version.
We seem to have reverted back to our old way of playing Country Roads. Since this is included in Friday’s performance we will do a pen and ink change before we start. I believe Susan is going to add a cord in the verses to provide the pause that we need. If that’s the right terminology.
If anyone has any questions, comments or suggestions about any of the songs, do not hesitate to send us an email or let us know next time you see us in person.
Events:
Play at Riverwoods Exeter – August 16
Dream Diner Car Show – Tyngsborough- August 24
Play at the Exeter Farm Market – Seacoast Eats Local – September 12
Dream Dinner Car Show Redux – Tyngsborough -September 21
Coppal House Farm Craft Fair – Lee, NH – October 19
Please check Meetup for the latest information on all events. Once Susan develops a song list for the events it will be posted on Meetup as well as on our website under events.
These events are open to everyone regardless of skill level. Play the chords you know when they come up. You can always air strum and/or lip sync. If I can do it, anyone can do it.
If you have any questions comments or suggestions please send them in.
Susan, if I forgot anything or made any egregious errors, please correct.
Thank you everyone for being easy and to practice with,
Jack
