Thank you, Jack, for taking the lead – you are the BEST Tonto ever! Thanks also to all who helped out! It sounds like it was a great practice, and I was very sorry to miss it.
I am excited to get back on track and play with you all next week.
Coppal Farm is confirmed for 11-2 playing time; those of us with equipment to set up will go in at 9:30. Everyone else, please be there by 10:30. The list is long, as you know, but mainly familiar songs. We will have a great time! Costumes are optional, just be comfortable and have fun with it.
See you soon!
Susan

Good evening Susan.
You will missed this evening.
We had 20 people in attendance. Things things seem to go very well. I was very appreciative to have Jan and Patty assist with the scrolling. We also had a couple people take leads on songs which was nice.
Don’t forget next week we’ll be meeting from 4:00 to 6:00 instead of our normal time because of a special event at the library. They’re having a spooky scary adult story time from 6:00 to 7:00. The librarians would love us all to attend. Also we will be meeting in the children’s room.
We also have a special practice Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Rick’s house in Kingston. You can find the information on Meetup. If you’re even considering going to Coppal House Farm, please join us.
We went through most of songs in the three sets for the Coppal House Farm Craft Show performance.
There were a lot of old favorites and a few newer ones.
Learning to Fly – We need to add another G to the end of the fourth verse which will lead us into the fifth verse which is all down strokes.
Tom, if I’m mistaken please let me know.
People Are Strange – On the intro we do two strums on the first two Am chords then Tom does a bass walk down.
White Rabbit – There was some confusion on the intro. Tom explained, very clearly in my opinion, that he is playing the entire first verse as a bass solo. Then we join him playing the first verse continuing the instrumental. Then
we start singing. Thank you tom.
Yoho Pirate Song – Bill took the lead on this with everyone singing the chorus. I think with a little practice this will definitely work. Thank you Bill.
The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything – We watched the Morristown Ukulele video which seemed to help quite a bit. It’s an easy song people seemed to get into it. Although we did have one comment that was pointless, which it is.
7 Inches – We watched the video of the song since most people have not heard it. Everyone seemed to like it. Bill and I did sound effects. Patty was picking and strumming the song. Tom seemed to be picking it up with the bass
This is definitely a keeper albeit a kind of strange song.
Events:
Coppal House Farm Craft Fair Lee, NH – Saturday 10 /19/2024. We will be in the same place as earlier this year. Please plan on arriving a half hour early to set up. More details on Meetup.
That’s it for now. I want to thank everyone for making this evening very enjoyable. I know I had a lot of fun I hope everyone else did. It seemed our guest over by the kitchen area had a good time.
Enjoy the long weekend I hope to see you all soon,
Jack
PS- I won’t be breaking in to move your furniture around.
