Thank you, Jack,
I agree, it bears repeating that we have a great group and we are very grateful that all of you keep coming down and making it fun!
I love trying new songs and I know sometimes I forget it’s not just me song shopping, trying them on and leaving them in the dressing room….my goal is to be better about working on songs more than once or twice, and also to keep bringing back our favorites to keep them up to snuff. I really hope you all continue to find your voices and don’t be afraid to make suggestions. Don’t listen to Jack, it’s not dangerous to stand close to me. Most of the time.
It was really fun to have Micah come up to lead a song. I would love to have others do the same. Come on, it’s fun, and you will improve your karaoke skills.
The list for next Wednesday is in the works, as well as for the Epping performance on May 10. Please do consider putting together some solos, duos and small groups to mix it up and allow for some breaks.
Riverwoods is likely to be on July 17 at 3:15 in the afternoon, but I am waiting for confirmation.
See you next Wednesday!
Susan
PS I have more SUP buttons and will bring them to the meetup. No charge. I think we need to make another tee shirt order, too — your thoughts on changes to the fabric or style are welcome. I think we will keep the same logo design and color. Tee shirts will of course need to be ordered, but we might sell spares at events.

Hi Susan,
It is very nice to have the sun setting later and later each day.
We had 19 in attendance today.
One of the highlights of the evening was having our friend Micah take over the microphone to lead us in Back in the Saddle Again. He did a great job.
We played from a PDF that Susan put together. It was a mix of some of our old favorites and some of our newer things. It seemed to go well.
Unless otherwise noted, these only need practice. I’m sure I have forgotten a few but here we go:
Don’t Worry – Be Happy Kudos to Lauren for the whistling
Days Like This
All of Me
Back in the Saddle Again – timing issues
59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy) – We need to work on the ending verse
Friday I’m in Love
Black Velvet Band
Whiskey in the Jar – remove the space between the two chorus is at the end of the song. I think you know what I mean Susan.
Mr Ed – Susan to work on it
Uncle Johns Band – End on the word “home” and end with a G chord. Eliminate the outro chords
Stewball – We played this Saturday and determined that it would be a perfect mashup
War is Over. Once it’s in your head…….
We seem to be having timing issues lately. If anyone is having trouble keeping pace with Susan, you should move your seat closer to her. You may not want to get closer than arm’s length, just sayin’. Yes, I’m talking from experience.
Events –
CCS Epping – Play on the Purple Porch – Epping NH May 10th. This is an art show. Space is limited. Susan is putting a limit on the initial amount of participants. However, we don’t want to shut anyone out. We will put as many people on the porch and hopefully in front of the porch as possible and then we can swap out people on different songs. We always make it work. Check Meetup for more information. I would be remiss if I didn’t thank one of our members, Paola, for recommending SUP!
Hidden Pond Equine Rescue Open House: Play for the Horses! – Brentwood, NH – June 7th.
Thank you Lauren for arranging. this performance.
If you have any horse song suggestions please send them along.
Please see Meetup for additional information
We will be playing at Riverwoods Exeter sometime in July. We are waiting for the social director to confirm the date.
As of right now, we have the month of April open if anyone has any suggestions.
I know I say this all the time, but thanks again for a fun evening. We have a great group of people.
For you Moon enthusiasts we have a lunar eclipse Thursday into Friday. That is if you can stay up for it.
See you next week,
Jack AKA Tonto
