Hi, Jack,
It was a very pleasant evening and I thought all the songs went well. Thanks to Ruth for suggesting a new song – everyone take note! I really want your ideas! I would love it if people would lead their song for the group, but I am clearly willing to try songs I can’t sing well, so don’t hesitate to make suggestions. Usually I only say no if the suggestion comes from Jack, or at least that’s his story.
Saturday looks a little rainy and cool, but so far we are still on to play on the porch. Tom is bringing a pop-up tent for any people (or equipment) that will be on the grass. The organizer told me she will notify everyone of the decision tonight or early tomorrow, so I will let you all know the verdict. If postponed we will be playing on Sunday instead, a much nicer day, but I am rooting for Saturday when we will have a full contingent.
Welcome back to our Bev!! Sorry about the weather, but it’s going to get better. It’s so great to see you again.
Healing thoughts continue to go out to our friend Joan. I can’t imagine going through half of what you have, Joan, and always with that positive spirit. We will keep checking in.
I hope you all enjoyed this lovely morning – see you soon.
Susan

Hi Susan,
We had 15 in attendance tonight. It was nice to have a break from the rain. The big news is that Bev is back from Florida. Welcome back Bev.
We played the second and part of the third set of this weekend’s performance at the Purple Porch/House in Epping. You can find those songs on the website as well as on Meetup.
A few of tonight’s songs needed some work or we’re new to the group.
If I Had a Boat – Susan is thinking of adding dots to help with the timing.
Whiskey in the Jar – The song sheet has not been corrected. The last two verses need to be combined the into one verse. At this weekend’s performance, pretend that there is no space between the two.
Dream Lover – This went very well consider it’s the first time we’ve tried it. Susan is planning on reformatting it. Once done it will be added to the website. Great suggestion Ruth.
Events:
CCS Epping – Play on the Purple Porch – Epping NH May 10th. This is an art show. Space is limited. Susan is putting a limit on the initial amount of participants. However, we don’t want to shut anyone out. We will put as many people on the porch and hopefully in front of the porch as possible and then we can swap out people on different songs. We always make it work. Check Meetup for more information. I would be remiss if I didn’t thank one of our members, Paola, for recommending SUP!
Hidden Pond Equine Rescue Open House: Play for the Horses! – Brentwood, NH – June 7th.
Thank you Lauren for arranging. this performance.
If you have any horse song suggestions please send them along.
Please see Meetup for additional information
Kingston Employees & Volunteers Appreciation Picnic at the Kingston Fire Station – June 20
Brentwood Library Summer Music Series – July 14th
Riverwoods Exeter – July 17th. This date was confirmed today. Thank you Larry for your help with this.
All American Assisted Living – Kingston – September 27th
All of the above events are posted on Meetup.
I certainly hope that the rain is just about done for a while and fingers crossed will have good weather Saturday and again on Mother’s Day.
Enjoy the rest of the week and thank you all for being so awesome,
Jack (Susan’s left hand man Tonto)
