Hello, Jack,
Here I am, trying to do a recap from scratch. I don’t like it.I know family comes first, and congratulations to ALL your grandchildren—-they are brilliant and I know you are very proud, but you need to come back now.
Okay. Patty did a pretty good job with scrolling, but proved that it takes skill to manage scrolling, strumming and kazooing all at once, not to mention fending off my interference from the perimeter. You make it look so easy!
(Thank you, Patty!!)
We went through the setlist for Friday and we are ready to rock the fire station. No changes were made to the setlist or the songs. We worked on a few details that I hope everyone remembers, because I do not. (Jack!!)
I will be at the fire station around 11, because I am also setting up food and drinks- come down any time after 11:15. We will be in two of the truck bays. If you can’t park in the lot, just park along the road across the street. The party is set to begin at noon, but I remember from other years that it takes a little while for people to sift in, so we may start a little after noon. Don’t want anyone to miss a moment of our fabulousness.
Lunch is included!
Aside from setlist practice, we pulled out Surfin Safari – needs practice, as you would say. We also went through God Only Knows – also needs practice, but went pretty well. From there we played requests and had some good ones. It was a fun evening, and I thank everyone for coming. I believe we had 17 players.
We have two events coming up in July- Brentwood library ampitheater on the 14th and then Riverwoods on the 17th. Details are on Meetup!
Enjoy the warm weather, everyone!
Susan
