Hello, Jack and all of you fabulous SUPsters,
I do hope you all read Jack’s recap emails all the way through. There are always hidden nuggets of wisdom.
Thanks to all who came into the library on a beautiful evening and put up with delays and disarray. I hope it was fun anyway! I personally had a bad day which was immediately improved by music (well, sometimes that is a stretch) and friends. If we have improved your week in any way, we have done what we set out to do!
I will be compiling a list of outdoor songs that I hope you will all have in your back pocket over the next month. By back pocket, I mean bringing your paper copies with you. If you have performed with us recently, those songs will be included; the goal is to have a book of about 20- 25 tried and true selections ready to go. Next week, July 30, I hope to play outside with microphones and amps (those that have them), on the road side of the library ( by the old red building). We would be playing for people driving by and hoping some would stop to listen. I will post this on Meetup. If the weather does not cooperate, we will be inside as usual.
On August 6, our big room will be in use for the summer reading program wrap up.Again, I would like to play outside. In that case, we could go inside to the small children’s reading room if the weather is bad, OR we can cancel.
We can see how these things go and move on through our quiet August in a relaxed manner, while also looking ahead to GREAT performances at All American and especially at the Warner Ukulele Festival. For Warner, we will be contributing raffle items, so if you have ideas on that, let me or Jack know.
Please, as always, keep the songs coming.
I do listen to everyone, including Jack (and Bill, who got shot down multiple times tonight as well). I don’t always respond affirmatively but I listen!
Have a great week, my friends.
Susan

Hi Boss,
There was some very nice weather the last few days.
We had a nice turnout for the performance at Riverwoods Exeter. It was a lot of fun . Thank you Larry and Susan for setting this up.
It was a free-for-all evening. The library’s Wi-Fi was down. We had to work on songs that Susan had on her computer.
We tried one new song that Jan brought to the group. Let’s Work Together by Canned Heat.
Definitely a keeper.
Susan and I want to thank everyone for their patience this evening and hopefully the library will have everything fixed by next week
Events:
All American Assisted Living – Kingston – September 27th.
Warner Ukulele Festival AKA Mighty Ukes Summer Jam II AKA Suzapalooza II – October 4th – Warner, NH.
This year the Contookuleles will be hosting the event. So far we have four groups on board:
The Contookuleles
SUP!
The Kukuleles
The El Trio Demers
We expect additional groups to sign up.
More information will be available in the coming months. The venue is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Seabrook. We will be working on carpooling in order to have a strong turnout.
We also want to work on some strong songs to showcase the great harmonies we have. We may include some kids songs since this is a family event. As always we are open to suggestions. Unless your name is Jack.
For more information, please see our Meetup page.
Have a great weekend and take care of yourselves,
Susan’s Assistant
