Thanks, Jack!
And thanks to all who came out and enjoyed an outdoor jam with us. All things considered, the weather cooperated so that we could meet while our room was in use.
Keep those stands and books handy; I do hope to play outside more as we go through summer and fall. I will plan and announce this in advance as much as possible.
One thing to add to your calendar: I will be hosting an afternoon cookout and jam on August 19 starting at 2:00 pm, at my house in Seabrook. Details will be forthcoming, but I am hoping for a nice day to play outside on the deck or patio, and have a potluck-style meal. This is a Tuesday Afternoon… for anyone that works, I expect to still be hanging out after 5, so don’t hesitate to come by. Bring a dish or snack if you want to – it’s not necessary – and your choice of drink. I will provide a variety of drinks and picnic food so we won’t starve either way.
If the weather looks truly bad, I may reschedule. My garage is not as nice as Lauren’s! I am hoping to set up with amps and mics in the yard and entertain the neighbors.
See you all soon – let’s enjoy the heck out of what’s left of summer!
Susan

Good cool evening Susan,
We had 13 players outside of the library this evening along with several spectators. It was a laid-back Meetup going through the Summer Songbook. Susan called it early because it got cool and the mosquitoes came out. I think we wrapped it up about 6:30.
We will be back inside next week.
I don’t have a lot to report. We were playing songs and not really trying to fine-tune anything.
For those who couldn’t make it, I need to let you know that you missed your free Kona Ice.
Events:
All American Assisted Living – Kingston – September 27th.
Warner Ukulele Festival AKA Mighty Ukes Summer Jam II AKA Suzapalooza II – October 4th – Warner, NH.
This year the Contookuleles will be hosting the event. So far we have a good mix of groups on board:
The Contookuleles
SUP!
The Kukuleles
The El Trio Demers
The Ukulele Songsters
The Port City Ukers
SNHUG
More information will be available in the coming months. The venue is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Seabrook. We will be working on carpooling in order to have a good turnout.
We also want to work on some strong songs to showcase our great harmonies. We may include some kids songs since this is a family event. As always we are open to suggestions.
You are always welcome to play with us even if you’re playing with another group at that venue. I believe Mr Bill is playing with a minimum of three groups this year.
For more information, please see our Meetup page.
That’s it for now. Have a great rest of the week and I hope to see as many of you as possible next Wednesday,
Jack
