Happy Ides of October, all –
Thank you Jack for another fine recap.
Saturday will be a fun day at the farm, come on down and join us! It is a craft fair and harvest festival and there will be plenty of time to do some shopping and snacking in between performing our excellent set of songs.
I will have at least one extra full set of songs if needed.
If you have a microphone, please bring it; otherwise Tom and Bill will be setting up the sound equipment and all you need is your stand, music and uke. As Jack said, if it’s too long of a day for you, just come over for one set or a few songs.
We are looking forward to another fun garage band party at Lauren’s next week! Please remember to sign up on Meetup, or contact her directly, so that she knows how many to plan for.
After that the next big event will be my retirement on the 31st. I will have a lot more time to mess around with songs after that.
Stay warm, and see you all soon!
Susan

Good evening Susan,
We had 27 chilly members in attendance tonight. The heat was not working at the library. I think it was as cold inside as it was outside. I want to thank everyone for toughing it out and making it another fun evening.
PLEASE NOTE: We will not be at the library next week October 22nd. We will be at Lauren’s house 46 Northrup Drive Brentwood, NH. If you’re going to attend please RSVP on Meetup. If you don’t have Meetup send an email to Susan, Lauren or me. They need to know how much food to buy. Remember everyone is welcome. There’s more info below under events and on Meetup.
We played a number of Halloween and other songs that are on the set list for this Saturday’s event at Coppal House Farm.
If you’re attending please swap out the song Hazy Afternoon for Breezy Afternoon. I gave Susan the wrong song. My bad.
Please listen to the following songs and don’t worry if you don’t know them or can’t play them that well. there will be enough people there to get through them;
Werewolves of London
Tarantulas
Evil Ways
Down at the Twist and Shout
Wilbury Twist
Hungry Like the Wolf
Zombies Just Want to be Loved
Maxwell’s Silver Hammer
Psycho Killer
We will most likely revisit these songs and many other Halloween songs on our Meetup October 29th at the library. This will be a Halloween celebration. If you’re so inclined, please wear a costume or some type of Halloween themed item.
Events:
Coppal House Farm – Lee, NH. – October 18th.
This will be a Harvest/Halloween performance. Costumes are optional but they are fun.
We are playing 3-45 minute sets. If the 3 hours seems overwhelming, come over for one set or two. The set, should start at approximately 11:00 a.m., noon and 1:00 p.m.
We will be in the area by the food trucks. If you have any questions please contact us.
Garage Band 4 at Lauren and Tom’s. – Brentwood, NH – October 22nd. Please note this is in place of our normal Meetup at the library. If you show up at the library on October 22nd there won’t be anyone playing ukuleles. Everyone is invited. It is somebody’s birthday and there will be cake.
Susan is working on a November gig at a retirement community Methuen. More information will be posted if it works out.
Please check out our Meetup page for detailed information on our events.
