SUP Recap 12/10/2025

Thank you, Jack,

It was another cozy and fun evening in the story time room!

I will finalize next week’s list, but if you copy last night’s songs, minus Mull of Kintyre, those are the selections. We will insert “O Holy Night” after Winter Wonderland, I think – to keep it toward the beginning.

As always, I will have at least one spare packet of music and we will share music stands as much as possible.

We will run through a few of the Christmas songs on Saturday, but move on to other songs as well as we look ahead to Hogapalooza and beyond. Yes, the holidays will be over and done before too long!

Also, please come by 18 Beach Drive in Kingston on Dec. 19, starting at 4:00 if you are available! This will be our own Christmas/Winter party. Bring some edibles to share, if you are so inclined; I will provide an assortment of soft drinks, wine and beer but if you want to contribute something in that area, it is also welcome! Also please bring your Christmas songs and a few copies of anything else you would like to play.

Thanks all for your continued participation and suggestions and good humor!

See you soon,

Susan

Good evening Susan,

It was nice that the temperatures moderated a little for tonight’s Meetup.

We had 19 in attendance once again in the small room.

Don’t forget, we will be meeting at the library this Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00. Please join us if you have time.

This evening we played from the list of songs for next week’s performance at the library.

Susan will finalize a list and post it on Meetup and the website in the next couple of days.

If you want to see the specific songs we played you can find them on Meetup as well as on the website.

We are looking to play a song for Susan, the retiring director of the library. Right now we’re going to play Let It Snow. Noreen suggested Auld Lang Syne.  If you have any other suggestions please let us know.

Susan brought out a song that not many people knew. It’s a great Paul McCartney  song, Mull of Kintyre.  This will be something we can work on in the future.

We played random songs from the website including a mashup of Stray Cat Strut and Hit the Road Jack.  It seemed well received. Thank you Patty finding this song and helping me put it on paper.

If you’re planning on playing at the library next week don’t forget to bring your music stand and paper copies of the music. You can also share with somebody if that works.  If you’re wondering what the dress code is, think holiday festive wear.

Events:

Seabrook Library Annual Holiday/Christmas Celebration – Wednesday December 17th.

This year the celebration will be combined with a changing of the guards so to speak. We will be saying goodbye to the current director Susan and welcoming the new director Elizabeth.

Hogapalooza III is on the books for Saturday January 31, 2026 at the Seabrook Library.  We will have our regular space from 9 until 4 PM.  We also have a snow date for the following Saturday. I believe we have four groups committed at this point. Susan may have more information.

Stay tuned for more information as things develop.

Winter Songs at the Brentwood Library – Brentwood, NH – 2/17/2026

Play at the All American Assisted Living – Kingston. NH – 8/29/2026

Thank you all for another fun evening.

Take care,

Jack
