Thank you for the excellent recap, Jack! And everything else you do for our group.
Let’s hope this is the last time we have to worry about ice and snow for 8 months or so!
Think Spring/Summer and check out all the great events we are planning. We will be continuing to try out some new songs and fine tune our old ones in preparation. And also just because it’s fun!
I will be tweaking the Riverwoods songs just slightly, to put in the annotated version of the MTA song, and to add “in Harmony”. We did run through “In Harmony” last night and it went pretty well for being brand new. We will at least give it a try before or after the Riverwoods performance, as an extra song to try with the Rockers.
Setlists for upcoming practices and events are in the works.
Thank you all for being awesome!
Susan

Good would evening Susan,
We had nine intrepid souls venture out into the weather this evening. The conditions are going down hill fast since we left the library
Susan prepared another PDF of random songs that we’ve played in the past. Once again these can be found on the website under the Meetup Practice Songs tab. Great song choices Suzerain.
Here are a few of the songs we tried:
Love is Beautiful – went well
Come a Little Bit Closer – We tried two keys. I believe we are going with the key of G. Every everyone should listen to this song. It is doable but needs practice.
In Harmony – Susan and Marilyn did well on this song. It requires some practice for the rest of the group.
Ticket to Ride – Susan will work on a pause after “do right by me”
Events:
Riverwoods Manchester – April 12
Play at the All American Assisted Living Kingston – May 18
Picnic and Play At Peggy’s House Nottingham – July 17
Mighty Ukes Summer Jam Kingston – July 20
Seabrook Library Children’s Reading Program -August 7. Free Kona Snow Cones
Seabrook Library 1000 Books Children celebration – August 10. Children 5 and under
Busking at the Farm – Coppal House Farm Lee NH – August 2
Coppal House Farm Craft Fair – October 19
Information for these events is posted on our Meetup page. We confirmed the August library events this evening. Susan will be posting them on meetup in the near future.
If you don’t have access to Meetup, Please let Susan or me know and we can provide the information.
All events are open to everyone regardless of skill level.
Our last spring Saturday at the Seabrook Library will be April 13 – 10 AM to noon. We will be at the Kingston Rec May 11 – 10 AM to noon.
Susan continues to play up the Bachelor Raffle at the Mighty Ukes Summer Jam. It looks like the prize will be a lunch or dinner at a choice of restaurants in the Seacoast area, with said bachelor. There was also a suggestion to raffle a dinner with Susan. Although she is not a bachelorette, she has quite a following. A lot of money could be made on that raffle. Just sayin’.
Thank you everyone for coming out this evening. Try to stay dry, let’s get through this storm and welcome spring.
Keep the power on,
Jack
