Thank you, Jack,
I sure do love summer time! As everyone gets outside with family and friends or goes off on vacations, our attendance will fluctuate, but we won’t miss a beat! Okay, sometimes we do miss a beat (or a note or the plot), but we always have a good and enthusiastic group.
Last night we went through the Dover (June 22) list, and there are no changes, so I will get that posted on Meetup and the website. As mentioned, I have put together a list of songs to choose from for the next few Senior performances – that is attached to this message. I can’t say we won’t throw in other familiar songs – but most songs for Webster, All American and the Riverwoods patio party will come from this list, to make planning a little easier. There are a few songs that are new to us, which we began practicing last night. Please note that after trying Singing in the Rain in the key I chose, I am going back to try it in other keys. It is a simple song with 4 alternating chords – I am just trying to find the best vocal range for all, and then will get it on the website.
I visited the venue in Nashua for their Farmer’s market, and will be putting more details on Meetup. It is a very nice stage area, parking will not be a problem, and several good restaurants are within walking distance, so we can go out afterwards. Please sign up if you can make it! That list is also circulating among those signed up, and it will be a good strong hour +.
One more note – anyone planning to attend Plumfest in September may also be interested in joining a few of us this Sunday at the Riptide Cafe and Bar on Plum Island. The organizers of Plumfest are having an event that includes three live bands, a silent auction, and the chance to hear more about the event plans. Come check it out if you are available – 2 pm until 7 pm.
Have a great week, everyone.
Susan

Good gorgeous evening Susan,
The weather has been enjoyable despite your barrage of rain songs.
We had 15 members in attendance this evening.
On behalf of the Seacoast Ukulele Players, I would like to extend a Very Happy Birthday to Jeanmarie Eckstein.
For those of you who don’t know Jeanmarie, she is Tom and Bill’s favorite sister. She is also the youngest sister. We all hope you had a great day.
Susan put together a PDF, which you can find on our website, of the proposed set list for Spring Village Memory Care.
To simplify things we need to practice all the songs. I will only reference one song that needs clarification. If I missed any others please let us know.
This Land Is Your Land: repeat the last line of the chorus twice at the end of the song. Do not play the C7 at the end.
Susan added a couple of new songs at the end of the evening for future use at events like Spring Village.
Que Sera Sera – practice
Moon River – Susan to add dots to help with timing.
Singing in the Rain
Below are a couple requests, I believe from Tom, that Susan wants to work on. They need practice
