Hello, All –
I believe Jack was either very tired or into the bourbon when he wrote this, but you can read between the typos!
On a more serious note, I know Jack was thinking of our dear friend Joan tonight, as were we all. We send our love to her and Dave.
It was a pleasant, if somewhat subdued evening, and I believe we are prepared for Dover. If you haven’t committed to joining us, please do check out the meetup post or contact Jack or me – it’s a good setlist and it will be an enjoyable afternoon.
I apologize for not having the right versions of Beyond the Sea to compare. The one I originally put on the website – still there – is in key of G. After tonight I believe we will go back to that one. This is under consideration for future events.
Singing in the Rain is a go with the new key we played tonight. You will see it on some upcoming lists!
Moondance is entirely do-able.
One after 909 – ditto, plus a lot of fun!
This week I had several great song suggestions that are in the works. I have not been as diligent as I might be, given that I have serious beach bum duties to attend to. The laptop is impossible to use in the sunshine. But given a few of those rainy days (we need them, Jack), I will catch up. Ditto with making sure all the songs we are working on are in correct form on the website. I and the earth just need some rain.
Take care, everyone, and we will look forward to seeing you Monday, Wednesday, and beyond –
Susan

Welcome to the middle of June Susan,
It was a gorgeous night we had 21 players in attendance.
Susan brought another interesting playlist to the group which you can find on our website. We also went over some of the songs for our performance at Spring Village in Dover. You can find that on the website as well as Meetup.
Mike was nice enough to video I was playing jambalaya this evening. I have posted it to our Facebook page if you’d like to see it. If you don’t have Facebook let me know and I can send you a link to the video.
Songs of interest:
Singing on the Rain – Susan change the key
Sentimental Journey – practice
Groovin’ – work on the oohs and aahs
Rock and Roll Music – teach Jack to remember to scroll to the second page
One After 909 – practice
Beyond the Sea- Susan wanted us to try it in two different keys but unfortunately both versions are in the same key. She’ll work on that and work on denoting the instrumental.
Moondance – continue to practice
Imagine – same as above
Build Me Up Buttercup – went well
