SUP Recap 10/14/2026

Hi, All,

Thanks for coming out on this lovely October evening!

I am sorry to have cut the regular jam short, especially after the delays in getting started, so thank you for understanding! Our Warner crew has worked hard to put together a fun and tight set, to represent SUP well at the Warner festival. It wasn’t easy to find practice time, so we really appreciate the support of the group.

Next week, we will be back on track and will be just mixing in songs planned for upcoming performances… which, by the way, you should all consider signing up for!

I have a tentative list of songs for Birch in Rochester, and we will go through that next week, along with the usual odd assortment.

Back to basics: Please remember to send in your song suggestions! It’s always fun to try something new, Sugar Pie Honey Bunches!

Have a great week!

Susan

Good evening Susan,

We had 24 present this mild evening. It’s  been like a roller coaster ride with the weather lately.

We got off to a late start with some technical issues with the projector. With Tom and Amanda’s help we were able to get back up and running. Thank you all for your patience.

The Warner Ukulele Festival has been moved indoors due to the predicted high winds and cold temperatures Saturday. The performance will now be held at the Warner Town Hall at 5 East Main Street, Warner, NH

Susan brought out another very interesting selection of songs for this evening. Once again, you can find them on our website or on Meetup. I’ll touch on a few:

Blow the Man Down – In case you couldn’t tell Susan changed the words to the original song. It clearly shows how she feels about banjoleles and, dare I say, the people who play them.

Sugar Pie Honey Bunch – This went pretty well for a song we’ve never done before.

Runaway – The addition of the melodica made a big difference in the song. I may have to retire my kazoo.

Sunny Day/Sesame Street – needs practice

Walking On Sunshine – practice

Ripple – This went very well.

We dusted off a few Halloween songs that definitely need some practice. I believe we have a couple of meetups before Halloween.  I find it hard to believe that we’re in the middle of October already.

If you have any song suggestions, send them forward.
